Work Year: August - June

of Employment: 2024/2025 School Year

Salary: In accordance with the Teachers' Salary Scale according to education and experience.

Organizational Relationship

or Line of Authority: Works under the supervision of the Executive Director of Student Services.

Statement of Duties:

* Performs psychological assessments and presents in an oral and written format.
* Screens referrals in conjunction with other designated school

personnel

* Participates in the pre-referral process as needed.
* Consults on a regular basis with classroom teachers regarding special needs students.
* Assists with crisis intervention.
* Performs other duties assigned by the District Principal or the Special Education Administrator, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

Qualifications:

* Licensed in Massachusetts as a School Psychologist.
* Licensed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary

Education as a School Psychologist - Required.

* Ed. in counseling or school psychology.
* Knowledge of integration and inclusive models of instruction.
* Knowledge of curriculum modifications, behavior management strategies, and learning styles.
* Bilingual Preferred.
* Ability to perform and interpret psychological evaluations.
* Ability to provide individual and small group therapy to the school-age students.
* Ability to work closely and harmoniously with parents, teachers, and administrators.
* Knowledge of special education programs and

regulations.
