We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.

Job Summary

The SHE&S Specialist will assist in the implementation of Safety, Health, Environment and Security programs and initiatives in support of compliance programs and company goals. The SHE&S Specialist will be part of a team responsible for program development and ensuring conformance with regulatory and company standards. This individual will be responsible for assigned program oversight and will provide support to other locations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other assessments to support site and company Safety, Health, and Environmental & Security activities
* Prepare applicable SHE&S reports and dashboards; collect and analyze data
* Provide assistance and advice on SHE&S issues and topics to make recommendations for improvement.
* Lead improvement projects to drive SHE&S improvement as assigned
* Promote incident reporting and prevention
* Assist in the documentation, development, and presentation of SHE&S training
* Assist with development and improvement of global SHE&S Programs, Policies and Procedures
* Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs
* Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
* Perform SHE&S Inspections
* Maintain relevant SHE&S databases, audits, process confirmations, logs, and documentation
* Assist in the preparation of waste profiles and manifests
* Assist in the preparation of Environmental Reports
* Assist production in maintaining metrics and dashboards
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
* Understanding of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
* Associates degree in Safety Sciences, Engineering, Environmental or related field
* 1 year of Manufacturing or related industry experience



Preferred Skills, Ability, Knowledge & Qualifications

* Strong Leadership Skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently
* Environmental Reporting (Tier II, TRI) experience

Work Environment and Environmental Conditions

* Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
* Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.
* Ability to detect, distinguish, or determine the source of a smell
* Exposure or works around chemical processing, unregulated temperature, dusty conditions
* Approximately 10% of time spent away from home or typical office location
