Job Description:
As a Cardiovascular Sonographer at our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in our diagnostic imaging team. You will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound examinations on patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Your role will involve collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform echocardiograms, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow studies, to evaluate cardiac function and structure.
  2. Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, arterial, and venous studies, to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and address their concerns and questions.
  4. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  5. Analyze and interpret ultrasound images and data to provide accurate diagnostic information.
  6. Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in treatment planning.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and reports.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  9. Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in cardiovascular sonography.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Proficient in performing echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound examinations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the field.

40 hrs
Variable days and possible evening and weekend shifts along with on-call
AHA BLS & ARDCS or RCS required
ND license
4-5 yrs of experience required
05/20 start
