Summary:

CA Dean is pleased to be able to offer an opportunity for direct contracting for CNAs to come and experience what it is like to be part of the CAD team and mission. We are opening to applications from interested CNAs who would like to work directly for the organization in a traveler like role.

These CNAs will become part of our team as temporary per diem employees for a period of 13 weeks. CNAs will be scheduled as needed in the departments in consultation with the managers of the area, and may be assigned to other areas based on business needs. Positions are available on both nights and days.

At the end of the 13 weeks, we welcome you to join our team as a permanent employee in a full time, part time, or regular per diem position. Our talent team will be happy to work with anyone who decides it is time to make CAD your professional home.

Provides direct and in-direct patient care under direction of nursing staff. Performs duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, or move patients, or change linens. May transfer or transport patients.

Responsibilities:

* Communicates and interacts with patients and families, physicians, peers and other health care members to maximize successful customer outcomes and maximize function of the unit.
* Precepts team members to job function.
* Orients patient to hospital environment and routine.
* Attends and serves on one unit committee or educational peer opportunity to improve quality and/or engagement.
* Documents all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
* Participates in unit quality improvement initiatives.
* Communicates appropriate information and patient needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN in a timely manner for follow up.
* Provides care in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
* Label and Delivers specimens per policy.
* Maintains a safe environment complying with policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
* May perform other duties upon request.

* Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
