We are looking for Behavior Technicians in Washtenaw County, Michigan to provide center-based and in-home services. Pay range is $19-$22 per hour. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri, 8-6pm. A minimum of 10 hours availability, including two evenings required. We can accommodate most school schedules. ABA Insight's Center is located at 100 N. Staebler Rd. Suite B, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Primary Job Function: To work in a fast-paced and often intense learning environment providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

A Behavior Technician provides direct one-on-one therapy services to individuals with autism focused on teaching functional skills and reducing problematic behaviors in the home, community, and school settings. Behavior Technicians will utilize interventions developed from the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and are supervised by a Licensed Behavior Analyst. No training in ABA? Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Follows a treatment plan developed by supervising BCBA and collaborates with treatment team
  • Prompts safe and socially appropriate behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills
  • Adheres to standards for data collection, therapy documentation, and professional conduct
  • Performs tasks requested by the supervising BCBA within boundaries of the BT role when providing treatment
  • Collaborates with supervising BCBA to communicate client-specific progress and changes
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
  • Facilitating client daily needs including feeding, toileting, dressing
  • Maintaining a clean/sanitized and organized therapeutic environment
  • Adherence to organizational policies and procedures, including required trainings
  • Follow code of ethics as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and other credentialing bodies
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly
  • Effective time management skills including managing multiple tasks at one time
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members
  • Commitment to training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology
  • Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written instructions for therapy sessions
  • Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to pass all background checks and complete required trainings
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting and standing) for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to sit on the floor for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work in various environments to perform therapy such as home, schools, centers and community settings
  • Must be willing to drive within a 30-mile radius as needed for treatment of clients in the home, community and school settings
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
  • Must have access to email and phone contact

PREFERRED/EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in psychology, special education, social work, behavioral science, human development or related human service fields
  • Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is preferred however not required
