Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General) Job Specialty: Staff Augmentation Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Mid - 5x8 - 2pm - 10pm; 40 hours/week (must be available any day, including weekends) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Flexibility to work any day including weekends Job Description: - Administer nursing care within the scope of practice as directed by healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, physicians, and other licensed practitioners.- Perform medical procedures such as administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, and irrigating wounds.- Provide emergency care including first-aid and CPR, and assist in restraining patients when necessary.- Administer controlled and non-controlled medications through various forms such as oral, rectal, topical, and injectable.- Maintain medication accountability, including preparing and counting medications, and ensuring proper medication stock and supplies.- Observe, document, and report patient conditions, including medication reactions, treatment responses, and behavioral progress.- Assist with general nursing care, such as taking vital signs, assisting with personal grooming and hygiene, and repositioning patients.- Escort patients to appointments and recreational activities according to treatment plans.- Provide work direction, orientation, and training to lower-level direct care staff in providing general nursing care.- Participate in meetings and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.- Manage inventory by ordering medical supplies and ensuring cleanliness and organization of nursing stations and medication carts.- Perform clerical tasks, such as answering phones and filing documents.
