About This Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

Lead a team of data scientists in the modeling and optimization of complex demand chain problems, and the

development of KPI visibility tools for the entire Supply Chain department. The team will develop network analytics, optimization, simulation, machine learning models and niche data science techniques to evaluate product flow from vendor to distribution center and customer. The models will focus on improving fill rate, lead time, cost and inventory efficiency, while ensuring sufficient capacity for throughput and storage. The team will also build dashboards, reports, maps, etc. to assess the health of the Supply Chain, identify improvement opportunities and implement appropriate solutions.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

* Manage a portfolio of data science projects, models and analyses. Assign data scientists to each initiative,

ensuring high resource utilization and adherence to scope, timeline and budget.

* Design and lead the development of comprehensive visibility tools (dashboards, reports, etc.) for all major

Demand Chain KPIs.

* Identify improvement opportunities and work collaboratively with other teams to implement appropriate

solutions.

* Act as subject matter expert for different data science techniques, such as Linear programming, mixed integer programming, clustering, Monte Carlo simulation, discrete event simulation, regression, random forest, SVM's, other machine learning techniques and advanced statistical skills.
* Ensure high data quality and accuracy for the entire team's output.
* Hire, train, coach, develop and retain an effective team of data scientists.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Masters

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 7+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 2+ years

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Expert in Microsoft Office tools

Experience in programming with SQL, R, and/or Python

Working knowledge implementing optimization and simulation models.

Experience in Network Modeling

Knowledge of advanced statistics.
