Client is looking to immediately fill a position for a full day Registered Nurse, (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse, (LPN), to accommodate a student in school and on the school bus Monday-Friday.

School require all services shall be provided to student, in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 plan. The student is non-ambulatory and non-verbal. Client' general nursing qualifications and duties (not limited) are below.

Ceritifications Required:
1. BLS
2. License
3. Covid Card

Nursing Qualifications
1. To be considered qualified for the assignment a candidate must be either a Registered Nurse, (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse, (LPN), with current Virginia nursing license, and If the Nurse's license permits them to work outside of the state in which they are licensed, client would consider the provider licensed to perform the work in Virginia.
2. Must have recent pediatric nursing experience working within parameters established by Virginia School Health Guidelines. . vdh . virgin i a.gov / schoo l - age - health - and - forms / schoo l - healt h - guidelines - and resources
The experience required will be dependent on the case.

Nurse Required Skills and Duties
l. The Nurse must be able to recognize respiratory distress and immediately initiate resuscitative measures, such as suctioning, CPR, and reinsertion of tracheotomy tube.
2. Skills and duties in other nursing procedures may be necessary including, but not limited to the following:
a) Tracheotomy care
b) Care of a ventilator-dependent student
c) Gastrostomy care and feeding including feeding pumps
d) Reinsertion of a gastrostomy tube
e) Proper use of a bag-valve mask (Ambu bag)
f) Suctioning
