ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic Tarboro combines local doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have years of experience caring for the community, with a brand new state-of the-art medical facility offering integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.

Position Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) prepares patient specimens as required for laboratory testing.

As a MLT, you will be required to:

* Perform laboratory tests
* Monitor test results to assure test quality and validity
* Communicate results in a timely manner, especially those that may be life threatening to the patient
* Maintain properly documented records of activities
* Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and environment
* Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

* High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or education (Specify: Medical Laboratory Technician)
* Less than 1 year of experience

Preferred:

* ASCP or equivalent certification

Other Information

* 36 hours a week
* Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
