* $1,942 - $2,546 Weekly Rate
* Department: Associate Travel Program - Surgical Services
* Schedule: Multiple Shifts available, 40 hours per week
* Hospital: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals
* Location: requires travel to various locations more than 50 miles away from primary residence

This position is a permanent, full time position made up of travel assignments -not a short term option or temporary contract. Rates may vary by location and specialty.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

* Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
* Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
* Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
* Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* Required Credentials:
* BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
* Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting

(NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

* High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree

required.

Work Experience:

* None required.

* One year of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
* Travelers must be willing to travel 50+ miles from permanent residence.
* Travel positions require travel to multiple locations and could include assignment selections in: Alabama, Illinois, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin
