Baseball Coach

Responsibilities:

* Assist in operating all aspects of the Division ll intercollegiate Baseball program at Winona State University within the guidelines, policies, rules and regulations of the University, NCAA and NSIC.
* Assist in the identification, evaluation, recruitment, and retention of quality student-athletes for the Baseball program.
* Assist in mentoring and reporting academic success of student-athletes to ensure graduation of student-athletes.
* Assist in the training, monitoring, and evaluation of individual performance.
* Assist in the organization, planning and coaching of all practices and games.
* Coordinate and organize team travel including accommodations and itineraries.
* Assist with the scouting of opponents including the organization of film editing and using appropriate software programs.
* Assist with team game tape exchange.
* Fundraise through camps/clinics and other efforts as needed.
* Promote and support Winona State University and the Athletic Department's program mission and goals.
* Represent Winona State University and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
* Foster interest in Winona State University with all high school students and school personnel while recruiting for WSU and the Baseball program.
* Instruct university courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
* Engage in research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
* Provide evidence of continuing professional development to enhance coaching abilities.
* Contribute to student growth and development.
* Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
* Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
* Other duties as assigned in the Athletic Department as needed.
