Job Overview:
Provide crisis assessments across the developmental lifespan at the Union County screening center
Qualifications:
Required:
+ MSW with a specialization in Mental Health, or MA in Mental Health disciplines
+ One year post-master's experience in a psychiatric setting is required
Or:
+ BA in Mental Health disciplines
+ Three years full-time post-bachelor experience, 1 of which is in a crisis setting required
+ Clean driver's license as determined by the employer, and validated by the state MVA in which the employee resides
Certifications and Licenses Required:
+ Certification, eligible as a Screener by the State of New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Hospitals
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Part-Time
Essential Functions:
+ Screen adults for involuntary hospitalization
+ Develop treatment and disposition planning in the least restrictive setting
+ Consult with team members and MDs to ensure safety
+ Provide community based screening at affiliated emergency rooms and in community for adults over 18
