Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking an Elementary Interventionist.

Requirements:

* Associate's degree with some training/exposure to education and teaching
* Ability and willingness to work collaboratively; maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
* Competency in using technology
* Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
* An agreement with the mission statement and goals of Christel House Schools.

Job Tasks:

* Assist students with assignments that reinforce learning concepts.
* Monitor individual and/or groups of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
* Maintain a record of interventions and progress monitoring.
* Provide 're-teaching' and tutoring sessions around core instruction that was delivered by the classroom teacher.
* Implement, under the supervision of the teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
* Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
* Attend meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
* Other duties assigned.
