Job Summary

The Tampa Bay region has one of the highest concentrations of veterans in the entire US. Hillsborough County alone is home to MacDill Air Force Base, US Special Operations Command, and nearly 100,000 Veterans and their families. In addition, more than 250,000 Veterans live in the surrounding counties. Combined, the Tampa Bay region comprises nearly 25% of Florida's veteran population. These Veterans and their families, like many around the country, struggle with battling the invisible wounds of combat, including post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury (TBI), anxiety, depression, substance abuse disorders, family relationship challenges, and other issues associated with military services.

To address the significant challenges of this large population, TGH is partnering with the Home Base program to provide TBI outpatient services to local veterans and their families. Home Base is a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program dedicated to healing the invisible wounds for Veterans of all eras through world-class clinical care, wellness, education, and research. This partnership will lean on Home Base's outreach and programming expertise while leveraging TGH's existing wellness and clinical platform to provide valuable services to veterans and their families.

In addition to part time responsibility to the Home Base program, this provider will serve community referrals focusing on concussion and mild-moderate TBI, with opportunity to add additional populations of interest. Join our team of three board certified neuropsychologists, who are actively involved in clinical, training and program development activities.
