Lead Medical Technologist

Status: Full Time

Job Summary: The Lead Med Tech is responsible for the completion of the routine daily workload on a designated shift which includes processing & specimen collection according to established laboratory policies and procedures, performs quality control and preventive maintenance, and inventories laboratory supplies. The nature of the work may vary depending upon the workload and the assigned duties.

Qualifications:

* Must have completed a Bachelors Degree Program in a Biological Science with one year internship
* successful completion of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist medical technology certification examination and/or possess the necessary requirements to qualify as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act Standards.
* At least one year of exper. as a Med Tech preferred.
* Nationally recognized certification as a medical technologist

About us: South Baldwin Regional Medical Center is a 112-bed, acute care hospital offering inpatient, outpatient, emergency, diagnostic and surgical care with over 800 employees and a network of medical clinics serving greater coastal Alabama. A dedicated and experienced medical staff offers over 32 medical specialties. Hospital services include Baldwin County's only Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center, Women's Imaging, digital imaging, a 24-hour emergency department, an extended hours urgent care & imaging center and freestanding emergency department in Gulf Shores.

With numerous recognitions for quality and safety, the hospital is Baldwin County's only Chest Pain and Stroke accredited facility and one of only two Sepsis Certified facilities in the state of Alabama.
