Position Summary
The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for coordination and transcription of Pathology reports as dictated by the Pathologists These reports include Surgical Pathology, Autopsy Pathology, Consultation Reports, Flow Cytometry reports, Bone Marrow reports, non-gyn Pathology reports and additional dictation as deemed necessary by the Pathologist's in the course of their daily business. In addition, the Senior Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for case consultations and send outs, this includes coordinating the necessary packing, communication with outside Consult patients as necessary to provide both necessary patient billing information and delivery. This position works under general direction of the Pathology manager. The position also requires knowledge of the various transcription services provided by the department and assists the manager in monitoring production and billing.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of accredited medical transcription course or minimum of two (2) years experience

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $22.53 - $32.41 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
