Position Summary

Assiststraditionalundergraduatestudents and alumni of Olivet NazareneUniversity byfacilitatingthe recruitment efforts on campus.Proactivelydevelopsand strengthensrelationshipswithemployers to increase off-campus employment opportunities.Serves as a liaison between employers and students.Assistswith events and oversees the posting of employment opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Developand implement strategies designed to increase employment opportunities for university students andalumni.

2. Strategicallyidentifyand build relationships withlocal,regional, state, national, and international employers for recruitment of university students and alumni.Manageoutreach such as cold calls, emails, site visits, meetings, conferences, etc.

3. Schedule and conduct employer visits todeterminehiring needs and promote the university's students and alumni as a potential candidate pool.

4. Oversee the online recruiting and job posting system.

5. Work with employers to develop marketing strategies for enhancement of employer presence on campus, which includes, but not limitedto:on-campus recruitment, job postings, career fairs, and class/organization presentations.

6. Assistwith planning, communication, and execution of the various career fairs and events held on campus each year.

7. Use socialmediato promote selected employment opportunities and career development activities. Platforms includeLinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

8. Meets with and advises students on job search skills, professional/ethical conduct, negotiation of offers, informational interviewing, interview preparation, etc.

9. Track job market demand, use of careerservices, trends in recruiting, and hiring results for students in various academic majors.

10. Collaborate with faculty/staff to increase training and employment opportunities and meet the needs of various departments' students.

11. Coordinate on-campus recruiting visits and interview schedule.

12. Maintain, update, and expand electronic employer database.

13. Develop ongoing marketing strategies and materials to bring greater visibility of the university to relevant employers and industries.

14. Compile and report data on employer relations activities, assess employer relations efforts, and provide feedback as to the effectiveness of such efforts.

15. Participate actively in various local, regional, state, and national organizations.

16. Complete other duties as assigned to support the mission of Olivet Nazarene University, CareerDevelopment, and its various constituencies.

12. Continual professional development isrequired.

13. Occasional travel is necessary.

Additional Information

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degreerequired; 1-3 years of related experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

CareerDevelopmentis housed in theMiller Business Center. Office environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None, but may interact with student workers to discuss scheduling needs and special projects.
