Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for an experienced MRI Tech to work onsite for our contracted facility.

EMR Used: EPIC
Shift: 12.00 hr, Night

Description:
  • Instructs patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures; prepares, positions, and manipulates patients to ensure appropriate placement for imaging.*Selects appropriate imaging techniques, calibrates console and peripheral hardware, as required.*Obtains images, produces film records and backups from desk to storage media, and transfers from desk top work station.*Inspects for quality and completeness of exam.*Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and laser camera.*Performs physical inventories and maintains clinical supplies.*Ensures adherence to established PHS/PMG and department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA and compliance regulations.Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment.

Job requirements:
  • Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
  • Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
  • Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
  • Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
  • Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
  • Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
  • Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
Qualifications:
  • BLS required.
  • PALS and ACLS preferred. BLS, (ACLS, and PALS if obtained) must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or client.
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred.
