About the Job:
* The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A multimodality technologist performs radiographic and CT Scan procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.
What You'll Do:
* Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
* Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
* Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.
* Prepares and/or administers contrast media, i.e., orally, IV, rectally.
* Checks patient charts for lab results and allergies prior to the administration of IV contrast.
* Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
Who You Are:
* Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
* A minimum of 3 years of Radiology Tech experience, Required
* Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification, Required
* ARRT (CT) certification, Required within 24 months of hire
* ARRT (Rad Tech) certification, Required
* Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
