Summary

Responsible for installation, programming, and testing of fire alarm systems per project design drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Experience programing EST3 and EST4, and other model panels.
* Read and interpret fire alarm and electrical drawings and specifications.
* Review drawings and verify parts for job are accurate.
* Install and program fire alarm control panels and other equipment.
* Mount devices, install conduit (if applicable) and wiring to connect system components per design drawings and applicable building codes and standards.
* Perform all tasks associated with fire alarm installation, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics to ensure optimal wiring layouts.
* Identify and repair any troubles and test all devices and components to ensure proper operation.
* Perform final acceptance testing with the AHJ.
* Produce reports and other documentation to certify the installation of the system.

Education and/or Experience

1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fire alarm and/or low voltage installation experience is preferred. NICET certification a plus.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.

Additional Requirements

Pre-employment drug screen and clean MVR.
