Project Controls Specialist

The Project Controls Specialist works under the guidance of our Project Controls Leadership and in partnership with our Operations Team to provide a single point of contact for Cost and Schedule across a portfolio of projects. This role will include preparation and maintenance of various Project Controls tools including but not limited to Cost and Resource Loaded CPM Schedules, Project Forecast Sheets, and 4 Week Lookahead Reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Create and maintain project schedules across multiple projects/portfolios
* Work with the project team to build initial project schedules that includes high level of detail and sub-schedules
* Monitor progress and produce accurate projections of time and cost
* Load and trend both cost and resources into the project schedules
* Conduct monthly forecast review meetings across multiple project teams
* Perform Quality Assurance on project forecasts across multiple projects/portfolios
* Regular travel to project sites to engage with project teams. Expected travel twice monthly
* Ensure accurate earned cost/revenue and cost to complete values in project forecast sheets
* Hold project teams accountable for effectively utilizing project controls tools and track utilization for reporting to Director of Project Controls
* Attend, participate, and contribute to cost forecast meetings; take meeting notes, track open points, and manage follow-ups
* Support Operations with verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are correctly accounted for
* Identify trends and recommend actions based on sound financial and schedule analysis
* Produce and analyze 4-week lookahead reports
* Attend and participate in team meetings both remotely and on the jobsite
* Develop reports to aid and enhance performance of project teams
* Create databases and tools that will provide further insight into CS Energy's project portfolio
* Present project plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams
* Help identify and implement cost and schedule process improvements
* Interact with subcontractors and clients, as necessary
