They work with the mechanical and hydraulic components such as diesel engines, pumps and hoses. Knowledge of motor mechanics, basic electrical wiring, and schematics/blueprints are important parts of this job. Along with the normal duties of assembly our technicians may also perform maintenance on products sent in for repair by customers or distributors as needed. Skills in communication and teamwork are a must.

Job Requirements:

* Two years of field specific Technical or Vocational education preferred.
* Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic assemblies.
* Basic computer skills.
* Willingness to travel domestically to customer locations for on-site equipment setup, repairs, and troubleshooting.
* Own or be willing to purchase the minimum set of tools required for job and a locking toolbox.

Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing bending, squatting, and climbing while performing assembly work, inspecting work, machines, and checking assembly procedures.

Frequent climbing into, or onto some machines is required to perform assembly work, or evaluate how the part is progressing.

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 70 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.

Safety-Sensitive Designation:

Jobs which involve one or more tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others are considered safety-sensitive. This position is safety-sensitive because, in addition to the essential functions, it also involves performing one or more of the following essential tasks or duties:

* The handling, packaging, processing, storage, disposal or transport of hazardous material.
* The operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery or power tools.
* Repairing, maintaining or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage.
* The operation, maintenance or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including, but not limited to, electric, gas, and water utilities, power generation or distribution.
* The extraction, compression, processing, manufacturing, handling, packaging, storage, disposal, treatment or transport of potentially volatile, flammable, combustible materials, elements, chemicals or any other highly regulated component.
