Responsibilities

* Perform routine Mammography procedures, with the ability to produce quality images.
* Perform Quality Control (QC) functions related to Mammography and Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA)
* Perform a variety of tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of Mammographic, Radiographic and other related equipment as necessary
* Accurately calculate and appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality
* Obtain patient history, explain procedures and position patients accurately to ensure safety and comfort during the scan
* Assist Radiologists and other healthcare practitioners with invasive procedures and practices as required

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
* Complete 40-hour specialized mammography course and be eligible for Mammography registry.
* Advanced certification in Mammography required within one-year of hire date.
* Competency in components of Radiography and Mammography practice.
* Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

* Experience in 3D Mammography
* One-year of direct Mammography experience
