Hotel Custodial Technician II

Description:

* Pay Rate *

$17.00 an hour

* Weekend shift differential *

$2.00 an hour additional on Saturday and Sunday

SUMMARY: To clean assigned areas hotel-wide. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Fulfilling the assigned duties and reporting completion of tasks to the supervisor.
* Sanitize, clean, and maintain assigned work areas according to the department standards for bathrooms, breakrooms, and public areas using specific products.
* Clean spills and other hazards, reporting to supervisors as needed.
* Maintain organizational and communication skills.
* Proficient knowledge of cleaning agents.
* Assist other staff as needed, including laundry duties and cleaning hotel rooms.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Preferred:

* Previous janitorial experience skills.

Required:

* Accurate and detail-oriented
* Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
* Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Abilities

Required:

* Ability to work fast and efficiently and complete multiple tasks under pressure
* Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
* Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage
* Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
* Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
* Ability to communicate effectively using a two-way radio
