Heating Service Technician

As a Heating Service Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of our customers. Your goal will be to troubleshoot and perform diagnostic activities regarding service equipment within our established policies and procedures.

Your Role:

* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot oil and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and oil tanks.


* Troubleshoot and resolve problems that occur by reviewing diagnostics and using the proper tools to complete repairs.


* Provide final inspections of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely.


* Complete appropriate daily paperwork for each service call.


* Maintain daily and yearly inventory.


* Ensure the service truck is in good working order and reliable.


* Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.


* Rotational on call evenings and weekends.



Your Skills:

* Ability to work well with others; good organization and communication skills; attention to detail and strong customer service.


* Frequent driving, climbing in and out of vehicle and working in confined spaces. Heavy lifting and ability to work at heights ranging up to 50 ft.


* Ability to install various types of heating equipment.


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.


* Strong decision-making skills



Your Experience:

* A valid Propane or natural gas license. Nora Certification is an asset.


* Knowledge of wiring and plumbing is required.


* Previous heating technician experience preferred.
