The Riverdale Joint Unified School District is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Fresno in the heart of prime agricultural land. Farming and farm related enterprises are the principal businesses for the area. Riverdale Joint Unified School District is a K-12 school district with four campuses, Fipps Primary (K-3), Riverdale Elementary (4-8), Riverdale High School (9-12) and Horizon High Continuation School (9-12). Riverdale Joint Unified School District provides services to more than 1600 students. Job Summary

Job Summary

The employee is expected to work under the direct supervision of the Superintendent and Chief Business Official to perform a variety of accounting and financial record keeping activities for the District. The employee must be accurate and proficient in the use of office equipment and proficient in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets required). The employee is expected to verify requisitions submitted and process purchase orders in a timely manner to vendors for materials, service, and equipment orders, verify invoices, process payments to vendors and digitally file documents. The employee must have the ability to prepare, organize, and compile data to complete required financial reports. Effective communication skills, oral and written, are necessary.

High school graduate or equivalent. May have completed formal or informal training sufficient to clearly demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to perform the job. Accounting experience or experience in a related field is necessary.
