* Position Summary
* Provides health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients of all ages and physical abilities. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at, the request of a licensed practitioner.




* Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Education: Graduate of an approved sonography school preferred.


* License/Certifications: Current ARDMS Certification or obtained within 1 year of hire. Current CPR certification.


* Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.


* Maintains Ultrasound knowledge by attending meetings or by the use of journals and articles


* Obtain appropriate CEU to maintain licensure


* Seek opinions of Radiologist or other sonographers when a case is in question


* Able to use Vrad/Synergy system for off hours exams.


* Understands protocols and procedures for each exam
