Reports to Director. Responsible for the overall daily operations of the Nuclear Medicine Department. Also responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials and electronic equipment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the medical center and the State Department of Radiological Health. Work with Director on planning, organizing, and directing Nuclear Medicine operations. Makes rounds in Nuclear Medicine area to judge the effectiveness of operation, utilization of personnel and supplies. Secures and maintains the physical facilities, equipment and supplies. Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff and director. Interacts professionally with patient/family. Establishes and maintain standards of performance. Participates in the human resource management function for the department by assisting the selection, promotion and orientation. Initiates, interprets and enforces Nuclear Medicine procedures and maintains and interprets hospital policies and policies. Knows policies on misadministration and spills. Patient records are kept in accordance with Health Department Standards. Completion of an accredited training course in Nuclear Medicine techniques. Three years progressive experience. Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills. â€'â€'â€'â€'â€'â€'â€'CNMT or ARRT registered. BLS required. #
