Work Type: Onsite Job Description: Are you passionate about providing exceptional patient care? Join our team as a Patient Care Technician and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct patient care under the guidance of a licensed nurse.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting licensed nurses with pre and post-dialysis patient assessments and documentation.
- Monitoring and documenting dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets.
- Reporting any significant information or changes in patient condition to the supervisor.
- Assisting with emergency operational procedures and initiating basic CPR measures in case of cardiac or pulmonary arrest.
- Responding effectively to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment.
Qualifications:
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility is preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis is mandatory.
- Current CPR Certification is essential.
- High school degree or G.E.D. is required.
- Education in physical sciences and/or training in laboratory techniques is a plus.
