Northwest Medical Center- Bentonville is a total joint and stroke accredited community facility specializing in high quality patient care including Ion Robotic Lung Biopsies, mother and baby, surgical services and emergency services. Our multidisciplinary teams collaborate within our healthcare community delivering compassionate patient care to the community.

The CI maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics and works closely with clinicians, departmental leadership, Quality, Patient Safety, Accreditation and Licensure Departments, and Information Systems staff to clarify needs, prioritize requests, recommend technology design, workflow redesign, and support change to the EMR and other technology. Responsible for order set management for the EMR which includes development and maintenance of overall principles for safe design of order sets with a focus on workflow design; order set content including any technical crosswalks or terminology mapping; resource for requests for changes, additional orders, and order sets. Collaborates with clinical authors to develop order sets based on order set standards, patient safety principles, and evidence based practice guidelines and shepherds them through the approval process. Helps identify the clinical data requirements of the patients across the Healthcare System, as it relates to Quality and Safety and coordinates the advancement of clinical information systems to satisfy these data requirements. Maintains ongoing knowledge and understanding of TJC and CMS requirements. Educates clinicians across the enterprise about plans for new information systems and relevant Informatics issues (e.g. data security). Champions the benefits of the new systems to clinicians, facilitates communication and assists in assimilating information technology into daily practice.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of clinical experience
