As a Respiratory Therapist, you will manage direct care and flow of assigned patients. You will demonstrate discretion, sound judgment, and awareness of budgetary responsibilities. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:
  • Set up and administer intermittent respiratory therapy procedures including Pulmonary Function Testing Spirometry, Incentive Spirometer usage, Hemoglobin testing, hand held nebulizers, and MDI and Oxygen therapy as prescribed by the physician and in accordance to standards set forth in the clinical practice guidelines.
  • Perform and track quality controls, calibration, and maintenance as required on body boxes and secondary equipment.
  • Perform regular inventory counts on required pulmonary function supplies, medications, and equipment, reporting necessary PAR levels to supervisor for ordering.
  • Initiate, maintain, and operate all monitoring equipment.
  • Document all respiratory therapy records in a complete fashion to include all pertinent patient data and encounter charges. Documentation to include multidisciplinary participation notes and education flow sheets.
  • Demonstrate skills sufficient to assemble, install, disassemble, and clean all patient care monitors, devices, and instruments.
  • Facilitate training of equipment with other team members, and evaluates competencies for other clinical team members performing Pulmonary Function Testing.
  • Successfully complete any other duties as may be assigned.

What you will need:
  • Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Current RCP license to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification required
  • Respiratory skills as defined by the clinical practice guidelines set forth by the AARC. Exhibits positive interpersonal skills as the majority of time is spent interacting with others.
