The Triage On C all individual will conduct a competent, clinical interview. A careful and thorough assessment of the level of suicide and homicidal intent will be conducted. When a "face-to-face" interview is being done in the ER, the MD who has requested the Mental Health consultation will be given the findings of the interview/assessment and a plan of care will be presented. As appropriate, either the Medical Director of the Psychiatric Unit, or the appropriate on call psychiatrist will be consulted.
