The Division of Preventive Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow with expertise in biostatistics, applied machine learning, multi-omics, and epidemiologic cohort analyses. Additional experience in data analyses of metabolomics and/or proteomics with chronic disease risk (e.g., type 2 diabetes, cancer) is desirable. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will join an active, multidisciplinary research team with a nutritional and obesity epidemiology portfolio that includes analyses of longitudinal cohort and randomized trial data, repeated measures of lifestyle, body composition and anthropometrics, and biomarkers. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will contribute to and lead projects involving: (1) leading multi-omic data analyses for research aims under an NCI-funded U01 grant; (2) interpretation and presentation of results, and manuscript drafting; and (3) systematic literature reviews to develop additional related research proposals; (4) active participation in consortium-wide training and development opportunities supported by the NCI for metabolic dysregulation of obesity and cancer research; (5) collaborate with other research fellows and faculty on related projects. The data are available from established clinical trial and cohort populations based at Brigham and Women's Hospital and collaborating institutions, and the postdoctoral fellow will work closely with investigators across these institutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Works with Research Investigator Team to assist in the planning, conduct, and interpretation of research.
* Participates in regular research meetings with BWH faculty and trainees, co-Investigators across institutions, and consortium-wide working group sessions.
* Attends and participates in staff meetings; journal clubs; other research meetings as required.

* Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to project management and workflow, mentorship of students and trainees, presentation of research at local, regional, and national meetings.
* A PhD, ScD, or similar advanced graduate degree in biostatistics or epidemiology, with an emphasis on multi-omics and/or machine learning experience
* Experience conducting epidemiologic analyses, specifically evaluating complex exposures with incidence disease outcomes
* A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements.

* Strong analytic skillset for biostatistical and epidemiologic analyses, including machine learning and metabolomics/proteomics data analyses
* Strong R programming ability
* Strong scientific manuscript writing abilities
* Problem solving and ability to work independently
* Ability to work and effectively communicate in a team setting
* Ability to successfully collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds, and levels within and external to the organization and projects.
