As an Assistant Transportation Manager, no two days are the same, but typically you'll be involved in the following:

* Leadership - driver meetings, mentoring, motivating, ride-along/coaching trips, and training


* Team Management - participation in interviewing, hiring, training, performance assessments, and recognition


* Operational Management - route balancing, dispatch, equipment assignments, backhaul scheduling


* Regulatory Oversight - DOT, Federal, State, and Local regulations


* Route Coverage - during vacations and absences



Schedule: Sunday-Thursday. 3rd shift. Start time: 8:00pm

(Start time will Fluctuate depending on department need)

* Successfully passing a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check


* Must have knowledge of DOT, OSHA, Smith System (Keys to Safe Driving), and dispatch procedures


* Note - effective, Jan. 6th, 2020, you must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us. If you have not registered through the Clearinghouse, click here to register
