MaxCare Health & Residential Services is seeking a passionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.

MaxCare Health & Residential Services is a residential group home offering nursing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs.

Shifts available (Full-Time, Part-Time or PRN)

7:00 am - 3:30 pm

3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

11:00 pm - 7:30 am

Weekend only schedules are available as well.

Basic Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Provide basic patient care and treatment in collaboration with the Direct Support Professional /CNA
  • Educate and update patients on medical treatments
  • Daily documentation of services provided and progress towards goals
  • Collaborate with an RN to administer prescribed medications and coordinate services as applicable

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Virginia
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, families, state officials, and peers
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
