Pathology Technician/Technologist

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Pathology Technician/Technologist.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position purpose

The Pathology Technicians main responsibility is to perform all functions in the histology lab to include embedding, microtomy, staining and filing.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

* Must be proficient in the following areas:
* Embedding
* Microtomy
* Routine Staining
* Special Staining/immunohistochemistry
* File slides, block and paperwork in alpha-numeric order
* Equipment use and quality control
* Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: HT or HTL (ASCP) or eligible required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in histology preferred. Anatomic Pathology experience required.

* Ability to maintain attention to detail and concentrate for extended periods of time.
* Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while under substantial time pressures and still maintain quality patient care.
