Accounts Payable

Job Description:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable & Purchasing Clerk to join our team in Chanute, KS. You will work on a fast-paced team of individuals who provide administrative accounting and purchasing support to our facilities.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

* Generate, maintain, and reconcile all accounts payable records
* Process and mail/deposit accounts payable payments
* Scan and file all payable records
* Communicate professionally with accounts payable contacts by phone and email
* Other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Purchasing:

* Generate, maintain, and reconcile purchase orders
* Complete receiving tasks, and ensure the accuracy of material receipts
* Communicate with vendors by phone and email
* Other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Required Qualifications:

* Proficient in Excel (functions, data movement, etc.)
* Great written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Analytical and numerical skills
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

* An associate's degree in a related field
* Prior experience in an accounting role
* Prior experience in a manufacturing setting
* Knowledge of GL accounting processes
