Description

Job description: A maintenance trades helper supports skilled trade workers in performing maintenance tasks in various facilities, such as buildings, equipment, and systems. They assist with repairs, installations, troubleshooting, and general upkeep to ensure everything is running smoothly. Maintenance trades helpers may work in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, hospitality, or healthcare.

Responsibilities:

* Assist skilled trade workers, such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, or HVAC technicians, in performing maintenance tasks.
* Preparing materials, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance projects.
* Cleaning and maintaining work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Operating hand and power tools under the supervision of skilled workers.
* Following instructions and safety protocols to minimize risks and accidents.
* Performing minor repairs and general maintenance tasks as needed.
* Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a maintenance or construction-related role is preferred.
* Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.
* Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor tasks.
* Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
* Ability to work in diverse environments and adapt to changing work conditions.
* Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the maintenance and construction industry.
