SUMMARY

Performs secretarial and office duties to support the smooth operation and running of the Central Dauphin Cyber Academy.

DUTIES

Prepare correspondence and mailings for the building as needed. Sort and distribute all incoming mail to appropriate individuals. Organize and mail ineligibility letters and other grading information. Communicate with parents, students, staff, and the public regarding questions or concerns about the building per the Principal's instructions. Prepare interviews for the Principal as requested using the applicant system. Process building level school supply orders as needed. Process purchase orders and requisitions as required. Verify and prepare building monies received for deposit. Work with building principal to organize online subscriptions. Prepare and distribute report cards for parents who request hard copies. Record and report monthly fire drills and panic button test. Maintain student records in the student management system as needed. Assist with school activities, such as Back to School Night, Prom, Good Character Breakfast, etc. Update school website as needed. Create honor roll reports. Cover for other secretaries in the building as needed. Responsible for working with both high schools on cap & gown orders for graduation. Arrange transportation for PSSA & Keystone Testing. Assist guidance department to validate graduation list. Communicate with the special education department, ELD department, & school counselors when enrolling students. Maintain cumulative folders and folders for all students. Perform other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail a must. Strong computer skills and comfortable with Windows Operating System. Must be able to multi-task and have the ability to prioritize multiple priorities. Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all situations

Abilities: Ability to work independently, perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively. Must be able to plan, organize and prioritize work in order to meet timelines and deadlines. Requires the ability to analyze situations and accurately adopt an effective course of action. Requires the ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner, which reflects positively on the District. Must be able to manage and deescalate tense situations when necessary

Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous administrative experience, preferably in a school setting desired.
