Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor, under the direction of the Regional Facilities Director to join our team at the MacColl YMCA. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, which consists of the custodians and maintenance staff. They will be responsible for the day to day operations and repair activities of our facility to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our members and staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise Maintenance Staff: Directly supervise a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
* Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and perform regular inspections to identify any issues or potential hazards.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols. Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
* Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted within budgetary constraints.
* Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and repairs. Obtain competitive bids for projects and negotiate contracts as needed.
* Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests and situations outside of regular business hours. Coordinate with appropriate staff members to address emergencies promptly and effectively.
* Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of maintenance supplies and equipment. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within the organization to support their maintenance needs and ensure the overall success of the facility.
* Customer Service: Strives to place kids and guests first philosophy in the forefront of their decision making of the facility.
* Perform all other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
* Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field, with at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
* Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff and external stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient in computer technology and ability to report maintenance requests through technology.

* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and depending on operational needs.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Current CPR certification or certified in 90 days of hire.
* Sufficient physical strength- climbing ladders, perform essential maintenance duties which may include but not limited to- kneeling, shoveling, carrying, working in narrow and enclosed spaces, twisting and bending.
