Job specification
- Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Postpartum unit, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery for mothers and newborns.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Postpartum Unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards related to postpartum care services.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize postpartum care services.
Candidate requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in maternal-child health, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN) is preferred.
