Minimum QualificationsLicensed Practical Nurse with current state licenseAssessment and documentation skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsOrganized in work performanceGenuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facilityComply with Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and ProceduresPerform work tasks within the physical demand requirements Perform Essential Duties as outlined belowWork EnvironmentDeal with residents, personnel, families, and visitors under varying conditionsEssential DutiesImplement resident care plans in compliance with physician's orders.Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.Assign duties to Nursing Assistants as directed.Document in resident's chart pertinent information.Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.Give medications and procedures per MARAttend monthly educational in-service programs in order to meet facility educational requirements.Other duties as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.Personal DemandsDisplay professionalism both in appearance and in attitude.Deal effectively with staff, residents, families, superiors, and government representatives in a professional manner.Develop a thorough knowledge of facility's operations and physical layout.Exhibit initiative and willingness to learn.
