Position Summary

The Corporate/Real Estate Paralegal will handle executive summaries and directives; Much of the time will be spent carrying out routine tasks such as updating company files, preparing legal contracts, reviewing documents, and giving legal assistance on various projects.

Responsibilities

* Knowledge pertaining to all stages of corporate transactions, including the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations.
* Knowledge pertaining to all stages of real estate transactions, including preparation of documents for purchase and sale agreements, leases, landlord tenant issues and other similar documents.
* Ability to research legal issues and provide concise and in-depth legal memorandums with recommendations on how to resolve issues based on research performed.
* Ability to review and analyze contracts, operating agreements, joint venture agreements and other various legal documents and summarize key issues and points of same.
* Proofread contracts, documents and correspondence for accuracy and consistency.
* Assist in the preparation of documentation for amendments, withdrawals, mergers, and dissolution of corporations, partnerships, and / or limited liability companies.
* Prepare for and close various corporate and real estate transactions.
* Gather and analyze litigation responses/discovery as well as reviewing of legal billing and prepare memorandums regarding same.

Qualifications

* A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Paralegal
* Paralegal certificate preferred
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, and other
* Demonstrated proficiency in document management
* Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
* Exceptional organizational and file management skills a must
* Detail-oriented
* Excellent proofreading skills
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills
* Capable of handling confidential client information in a professional and trustworthy manner
* Ability to remain flexible and manage changing priorities, including availability for overtime when needed
* Professionalism, good judgment and the ability to manage in high pressure situations.
* Strong willingness to learn and the ability to interpret and follow instructions quickly and efficiently
