Experience as a coach or student-athlete with an intercollegiate golf program.

Position Summary

Responsible for organizing and administering all phases of a NCAA Division I Women's Golf Program. This incumbent will lead in the coaching, planning, organizing, directing, recruiting and implementation of all phases of the University of Georgia's Women's Golf Program as well as lead in all areas of team performance which includes but is not limited to pre-season, post-season training, practice, competition, budget management and academic progress.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

* Comprehend and adhere to NCAA, SEC, and institutional policies and procedures in the sport of Women's Golf.
* Extensive knowledge and experience recruiting at the Division I level.
* Evaluate and compare athletic talent for potential growth and development of student-athletes.
* Previous managerial experience in hiring, supervising and evaluating coaches and staff.
* Manage a budget.
* Participate and support public relations, fundraising, and promotional activities.
* Possess strong organizational skills in coordinating recruiting travel and visit itineraries.
* Oversee conditioning programs for the eligible student-athletes.

* Close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.
* Driving as needed to perform job tasks.

* Organizing and administering all phases of a NCAA Division I Women's Golf Program including but not limited to: training and preparing athletes for competition; overseeing conditioning programs; hiring, supervising, and evaluating coaches and staff; managing budgets.

Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities

* Identifying, evaluating and recruiting qualified student-athletes to the University of Georgia, whose athletic and personal skills make them highly competitive in the SEC and nationally, and whose academic potential makes them good candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation at the University of Georgia.

Percentage of time 25 Duties/Responsibilities

* Monitoring and supporting the academic success of student-athletes.
* Actively encouraging participants to succeed academically.

Percentage of time 10 Duties/Responsibilities

* Participating and supporting public relations, fundraising, promotional activities, and camps and clinics.

Percentage of time 10 Duties/Responsibilities

* Ensure personal and program compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and responsibilities pertaining to the Women's Golf Program.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Sports Facilitator.
