5 pm to 2 am nights and weekends for events

Job Summary:

Cleaning of all athletic facilities, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning brass, cleaning windows, floor maintenance, carpet maintenance, cleaning courts, etc. Maintenance of custodial supply inventory.

Venue preparation for events.

Some travel may be required daily around campus to the different facilities and off campus to procure supplies. Work schedule varies because most sporting events and practices occur after 5pm and on weekends. Mandatory overtime will be required during peak event time.

Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain a cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbent's salary includes compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.

Cleaning chemicals, heavy lifting, dust, weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

No experience required.

Must be able to read and understand SDS sheets and department directives.

Must maintain valid Oklahoma Drivers License.

Ability to handle multiple work priorities simultaneously; ability to work with minimal supervision in a highly self-motivate manner; general knowledge of custodial equipment and supplies; ability to lift and move 50 pounds, if necessary.

Adaptable to ever-changing technological needs of the department, and changes in procedures, environment, and responsibilities.

Physical ability to ascend/descend a ladder, or kneel, crawl into high, low, or tight spaces to clean hard to reach areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School/GED and/or one years of general custodial experience; knowledge of custodial equipment and supplies.
