Job Summary:

The Graduate Assistant of Finance is responsible for managing the O'Pake Institute's Finance Committee, working directly with the Financial Lending & Innovation Collaborative (FLIC), Potential CRIZ Program, MicroLending, creating and streamlining Financial Service offerings and assisting with the management of the O'Pake Institute's Client Portfolio, Fellows Program and related academic works.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Manage Finance Committee and FLIC Program

* Work directly with finance related client projects
* Manage FLIC applications, follow- up and documentation

2. Manage CRIZ Tax Program

* Work directly with Executive Director to create CRIZ calculator, program guidelines and project management oversight with help of Fellows team.
* Assist Finance Student Team with training and understanding of CRIZ

3. Manage MicroLending Program

* Work with Executive Director to establish a micro lending program and partner identification
* Work with Finance Student Team to assess need and readiness of clients for micro lending
* Manage lending follow up and portfolio

4. Manage an O'Pake Fellows Team

* Leadership, project assignment, management and oversight

5. Work alongside the Graduate Assistants and related positions in overhaul of financial workbook

6. Assist Executive Director with Community Based Campus Strategy and Site Visits.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop and Google Platforms
* Experienced with social media platforms (Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram)
* Motivated, self-starting and hardworking attitude
* The ability to demonstrate time and project management skills

Education and Experience:

* College Diploma or equivalent
* 2 years of related experience

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
