Duties and Responsibilities:

 

* Answer phone calls and advise or direct them appropriately
* Process referrals and diagnostic intake paperwork and be a resource for families and referring providers inquiring about diagnostic process or evaluations
* Ensure accurate completion of all intake paperwork prior to adding to diagnostic waitlist
* Accurately schedule appointments for diagnostic evaluations and medical follow-up at the Center
* Verify patient information and update records 
* Coordinate with billing specialist and office staff to address needs for both clients and diagnostic professional staff regarding appointment times and billing
* Prepare necessary documents in advance of diagnostic evaluation including requests for medical records and preparing paper chart
* Maintain the patient's electronic chart in electronic medical records system with accuracy and attention to detail
* Greet and check-in patients for diagnostic evaluations or medical follow-up
* Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals
* High School Diploma or GED
* One year of administrative experience working in a medical office setting a plus
* Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Able to lift at least 25 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active
* Ability to pass a background check
* Ability to communicate professionally to families and business partners/other agencies
