Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provides a broad range of personal counseling services.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

  • Provides a broad range of personal counseling services to a diverse and multicultural student population
  • Delivers presentations and support group services to the campus community as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology required
  • Must be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Ohio
  • Minimum two years of demonstrated personal counseling experience

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of psychology and mental health theories, concepts and practices with the ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
  • Possess understanding and knowledge of local community/regional agencies and familiarity on how to utilize and connect students to these resources
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic multi-campus organizational work environments
  • Possess familiarity and embraces the mission of the college
  • Possess strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;

However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
