Family is seeking a warm, nurturing, and Spanish-speaking temporary Housekeeper/Nanny for a summer position based in Bellport, NY, from July to mid-August. This role will involve caring for our two children, aged 2 and 6 years old, who will be attending camp during the day. The primary responsibilities will include housekeeping, grocery shopping, and preparing dinner for the family and two grandparents, totaling six people. This position has the potential to transition into a permanent role based out of our Manhattan residence.

Responsibilities:
  1. Childcare:
    • Pick up children from camp (camp hours 9 AM - 5 PM) and provide attentive care until parents' return.
    • Engage children in age-appropriate activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
    • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.
  2. Housekeeping:
    • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy and organized household.
    • Laundry, including washing, folding, and ironing as needed.
    • Grocery shopping to ensure the household is stocked with necessary supplies.
  3. Cooking:
    • Prepare dinner for the family and two grandparents
    • Plan nutritious and balanced meals suitable for all family members.

Driving:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  1. Transition to Manhattan:
    • If interested, there is the potential for this position to transition into a permanent role based out of our Manhattan residence after the summer.
    • Similar responsibilities will apply, with the addition of accompanying children to school via subway.

Requirements:
  • Fluent in Spanish to communicate effectively with the mother, who is from South America.
  • Warm, nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children.
  • Previous experience in childcare and housekeeping preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Live in a central location (Syosset) to easily get to Bellport and Manhattan.
  • Availability Monday to Friday from 7:45 AM to 6:30 PM during the summer months.

Salary: $30/hour
