We are currently seeking a talented Dental Hygienist to work part-time or full time on a flexible schedule.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

* Perform dental hygiene procedures, including routine cleanings, periodontal therapy, and preventive treatments, to maintain optimal oral health for patients.


* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including oral health evaluations, medical history reviews, and X-rays, to identify and address any dental concerns.


* Provide patient education on oral hygiene techniques, dental care best practices, and the prevention of dental diseases.


* Assist in the development and implementation of personalized treatment plans for patients, collaborating with the dental team to ensure coordinated and effective care.


* Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow CDC COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.


* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatments, procedures, and any relevant findings.



Qualifications:

* Valid and active New York State Dental Hygiene License.


* Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.


* Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, techniques, and best practices.


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team.


* Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

* Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times.
* Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and education in accordance with approved guidelines regulated by the state in which they work.
* Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
* Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
* Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
* Other duties as assigned
